Dixon's Freeserve was the biggest Internet Service Provider in the UK. Other companies joined the race including the Mirror Group - via ic24.net. It was a start-up that needed to build everything from scratch.
Launched ICSport.com in under 12 months alongside other websites.
Delivering the UKs 1st football SMS subscription for The Mirror in 2001.
Result
Responsible for making it happen. Design and build of the service proposition from the newspaper to the phone. Worked with a 3rd party technology provider for core SMS platform.

Focus on a service for the largest active audience, being sport. Advertise offline and subscribe online.

Mirror Group’s new IC24 portal was looking at ways to utilise the newspaper readership for new revenue generating products and services. SMS was a new technology.
